PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk capable of recording, additionally recording, editing or deleting data at nearly maximum rewrite limit among the rewrite limits which is the number of times of rewriting data on recording layers, compatible with each recording layer of the optical disk having a plurality of recording layers and capable of rewriting the data to each recording layer. SOLUTION: The optical disk has the plurality of recording layers, and the information corresponding to the rewrite limit which is the number of times of rewriting data on the recording layers, is recorded on a specified area of the data rewritable optical disk to each recording layer.
