FIELD: agriculture, in particular, horticulture. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves determining temperature dependence of plant objects' breath in darkness within predetermined temperature range including taking plant sample of object under investigation and placing sample in dark flow-through gas chamber, with initial temperature of sample and flow velocity of air through chamber being preliminarily set; removing carbon dioxide from air flowing into chamber and determining its concentration at chamber outlet; determining initial weight of sample under investigation and its final weight upon accomplishment of test; determining breath at continuously varying temperature within the entire temperature range, with temperature varying rate being set taking into consideration temperature inertia of chamber-plant sample system. ^ EFFECT: increased labor efficiency, improved accuracy and reproducibility of data obtained during determining of breath temperature dependence. |
