PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic flux leakage flaw detection apparatus which, in a simulative fashion, reproduces an inspection of a moving steel and carries out a calibration of its sensitivity on an on-line position for a short period of time, without being moved to an off-line side. SOLUTION: The magnetic flux leakage flaw detection apparatus which is applied to a magnetic material, is equipped with a conducting wire being disposed on the magnetically non-sensitive surface side of a magnetometric sensor and capable of generating magnetic fluxes simulating leakage fluxes from the magnetic material.
