A device is arranged for producing a driving signal (V<SUB>M</SUB>) for a transducer ( 7 ), such as a loudspeaker. The driving signal has a frequency substantially equal to a resonance frequency of the transducer and an amplitude controlled by an external signal (V<SUB>E</SUB>). The device is arranged for automatically adjusting the frequency of the driving signal to the resonance frequency of the transducer, using a control path ( 8 ). The device may be part of a frequency adaptation device ( 1 ) for adapting a frequency range of an audio signal to the transducer ( 7 ).
