PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver equipped with an optical disk reproduction function, capable of providing a high decoration effect using a light emitted from the emission section of the device itself. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television 100 is capable of displaying a received image based on a broadcast signal received by a reception section 10 and a reproduced video based on a video signal obtained by reproducing a disk D via a video reproduction section 20 in a video display section 30 using a light emitted from a light emission section 40. In the liquid crystal television 100, the light emitted from the light emission section 40 is guided by a lightguide section 50, and the guided light is applied to the surface of a side opposite the signal reading surface of a disk D loaded in the video reproducing section 20 to be reflected on the surface of the disk D, whereby the reflected light is viewed by a user who watches the video displayed in the video display section 30.
