PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a handrail for a framework scaffold to be fitted quickly, surely, stably, easily and efficiently while avoiding interference of intricate cross braces. SOLUTION: A handrail 1 for the framework scaffold is freely mountable in a manner of bridging a space between standards 24 comprising the framework scaffold. The handrail 1 comprises handrail posts 2, 3 arranged parallel to each other on both sides at a predetermined interval, a predetermined number of cross bars 4, 5 rotatably fitted to the upper parts of the handrail posts 2, 3 on both sides by the intermediary of pivoting pins 7 to bridge the space between them, hook members 18 fitted to the lower parts of the handrail posts 2, 3 on both sides, respectively, to be hooked on a horizontal bar 26 of the standards 24, and wedge fitting members 8, 9 mounted on the lower end parts of the handrail posts 2, 3 on both sides, respectively, so that leg posts 25 of the standards 24 may be fitted in a wedging manner, respectively. One of the handrail posts 2, 3 is formed to be long and the other to be short so that the wedge-fitting members 8, 9 may be fitted to have different levels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
