PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latching relay which can use components of a single stable type relay in common without changing their dimensions and shapes as main components of the latching relay while maintaining sufficient magnetic attraction force. SOLUTION: In the latching relay, a space surrounded by a brim 11b of a coil bobbin 11, a main strip 14a of an iron yoke 14, a magnetic pole portion 13a of an iron core 13 and an attraction strip 16a of an armature 16, is formed by preparing an extended portion 11c of a coil bobbin 11. A permanent magnet 17 is arranged in the space. The components in common with those of the conventional single stable type relay excepting that the coil bobbin 11 and the iron yoke 14 are changed partially and the permanent magnet 17 is added can be used as they are in the latching relay. Moreover, sufficient magnetic attraction force can be maintained since thickness of the permanent magnet 17 is not restricted by thickness dimension of the main strip 14a of the iron yoke 14 unlike conventional cases.
