PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability when a film is gripped. SOLUTION: A tenter device 100 comprises a left rail 120, a right rail 122, and endless chains 130 and 132 guided by the rails 120 and 122. A plurality of grips 150 are fitted to the endless chains 130 and 132, respectively. The tenter device 100 grips both side parts of a wet film 87 by the grips 150 and transports the film 87. In the grip 150, the width W parallel to the transportation direction is larger than 60 mm and smaller than 120 mm. The grips 150 are arranged in parallel with the endless chains 130 and 132 so that the distance G between the adjacent grips 150 is larger than 1 mm and smaller than 10 mm.
