摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably generate high quality shading correction data and individually and automatically implement in this each correction data generator. SOLUTION: The shading correction data generator comprises means 10, 42, 50 (Fig.7/Fig.13) for setting vertical scanning positions for reading read data of a reference white plate rwp in position memories 51, 52/79, 81, means 54-60 for generating a reference white plate read data reading instruction signal SMPL based on the vertical scanning position of position memory during vertical scanning drive for vertically scanning one of optical means 102-105 projecting image light to an image sensor 107 and the reference white plate for the other, and a means 40 for reading reference white plate read image data in response to the SMPL to generate shading correction data being stored in an FIFO memory. A timing means 50 (Fig.13) for automatically detecting the effective region for reading reference white plate and for setting information of SMPL generating position is also provided.
