The arrangement has a rear row of two seats (20), on a floor pan (3) of a motor vehicle, where each seat has a base (21) and a backrest (22). The floor pan has a single housing (15) for positioning one of the two seats in a retracted horizontal position, and also for positioning the two seats in a horizontal position retracted on each other with the backrest of each seat folded on the base. The backrest (22) of the seat is displaced by pivoting it between a position, where it is separated from the base of the seat, and a position, where it is folded on the base. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle equipped with a seat arrangement.
