Compounds represented by the general formula [I'] or salts thereof, which are useful as lipid-rich plaque inhibitors and/or ACAT inhibitors. The compounds are suitable for use in treating conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina, peripheral artery occlusion, hyperlipemia, cerebral infarction, cerebral apoplexy, arteriosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, or the like, or preventing or treating restenosis after PTCA or after stent placement.
