PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and the control method of a power supply device that can surely start the power supply device, while suppressing power consumption at standby, the power supply device equipped with the control device, an electronic apparatus equipped with the power supply device, and a projector. SOLUTION: A sub-CPU 11 starts a power factor improving circuit 24 by sending a starting signal S to a control circuit A13. A storage 15 stores a data table with the start signal S as a starting point, related to a prescribed time that determines timing, when a delay signal D for starting a DC/DC converter 25 is transmitted. The sub-CPU 11 secures the prescribed time from the data table, counts the prescribed time with the starting signal S as the start point, and sends the delay signal D to a control circuit B14 with a timing, when the prescribed time comes. As a result, since the control circuit B14 is started and feeds a drive signal to the DC/DC converter 25, the DC/DC converter 25 is started. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
