PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus which is excellent in practicality in which cooling is performed efficiently by guiding a cooling air using electronic parts surrounded by shield plates constituting the apparatus, while interference of noise between substrate circuits themselves is prevented by the electronic parts in a cooling structure using a cooling fan to exhaust the heat discharged from an HDD unit or the like incorporated in a case, to the outside of the case. SOLUTION: A digital circuit block 74 is arranged at one side of main circuit substrates 70 and an analog circuit block 71 is arranged at the other side, a heat generation part 3 such as a HDD unit 31 is arranged at the one side and a cooling fan 4 is arranged at the back of the heat generation part 3, a tuner unit 50 surrounded by the shield plate 51 functions as a guiding wall 5 of a cooling air 6 in a boundary between the analog circuit 71 and the digital circuit 74, while noise interference between the circuits 71 and 74 is prevented.
