<p>The present invention relates to a method for treating a psychiatric conditions and disorders selected from delusional disorder, psychosis associated with dementia, such as psychosis associated with Alzheimer's disease, psychosis associated with an organic brain syndrome (e.g. stroke, or a viral infection such as an HIV infection), and drug-induced psychosis in mammals, including humans, comprising administering an effective amount of a compound of the formula (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, wherein Ar, n, X, and Y are as defined. The present invention also relates to a method for treating a depressive disorder selected from melancholic depression, severe depression, psychotic depression, and treatment-resistant depression in mammals, including humans, comprising administering a compound of formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt of such compound.</p> |
