PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope allowing an illumination light emitted from the end face of a light guide fiber bundle of the endoscope exposed to a steep temperature change in a sterilization process by an autoclave sterilizer to have a stable and predetermined light intensity and illumination range. SOLUTION: This endoscope which has a narrow and long insertion tube having a light guide fiber bundle, as an observation optical system, inserted inside thereof and having an inner space at the distal end is provided with a distal end constitution part provided at the distal end of the insertion tube and having a lens hole disposed with an illumination optical member on its whole surface, a light guide frame fixing the light guide fiber bundle so that face the end face of the light guide fiber bundle faces to the illumination lens inside the distal constitution part, and a filling hole injecting an airtight filling material to the end of the light guide fiber bundle.
