<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device of a motor coil that secures the insertion performance of the motor coil and insulation quality between the motor coils by automatically extracting the motor coil that has an insertion defect and a molding defect, and its inspection method. <P>SOLUTION: In this inspection device, the coil end of the motor coil to be inspected after being expansion-molded is photographed from the axial direction. Then, the profile of the coil end is extracted on the basis of the image of the photographed coil end. Also in the inspection device, the tolerance of disagreement between the profile of a coil end having an ideal shape and the ideal profile is set in advance. Then, the profile of the coil end of the motor coil to be inspected is compared with the ideal profile, and when the disagreement of the comparison is within the tolerance, the motor coil is determined to be good, and when out of the tolerance, the motor coil is determined to be defective. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
