摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide a method for directly converting waste superhard scrap into industrially useful superhard powder of high quality by applying an oxidation-milling-reduction-carbonization process technology that is an environment friendly dry process technology without acid extraction or dissolution process to a recycling process. CONSTITUTION: In a method for preparing superhard powder by recycling waste superhard scrap generated during preparation of metal carbide-based superhard material, the method for preparing metal carbide-based superhard composite powder using waste superhard scrap comprises: a step of oxidizing the waste superhard scrap in the air in a temperature range of 600 to 1,300 deg.C for 1 to 72 hours; a step of powdering the oxidized waste superhard scrap by milling the oxidized waste superhard scrap; and a step of reducing and carbonizing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap in a temperature range of 500 to 1,000 deg.C for 1 to 24 hours by supplying a carbon supply source to the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap, wherein the step of reducing and carbonizing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap is performed by reducing and carbonizing the mixture at an inert gas atmosphere by mixing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap with solid phase carbon powder as the carbon supply source, wherein the step of reducing and carbonizing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap is performed by reducing and carbonizing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap by supplying a vapor phase CO, CO2 or CH4 gas as the carbon supply source, and wherein the step of reducing and carbonizing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap is performed by reducing and carbonizing the mixture by mixing the milled oxidized waste superhard scrap with solid phase carbon powder as the carbon supply source and supplying a vapor phase CO, CO2 or CH4 gas as the carbon supply source at the same time.</p>
