PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein in an imaging element having pixels with different sensitivities, a calculation which arranges signal levels from different pixels is required, and, therefore, hardware or software load is large.
SOLUTION: Photodiodes (for example, photodiodes PD) have a high sensitivity pixel 11 and a low sensitivity pixel 12 which have different sensitivities. The input state of an amplifier transistor 15 connected to a storage node SN on the way of a route from the photodiode PD to a signal output terminal has a storage capacity C1 (or C2) for storing electron generated in the photodiode PD temporarily. The capacity of the storage capacity C1 (or C2) of high sensitivity pixel is made larger than the storage capacity C2 of the low sensitivity pixel 12. Thus, the signal levels are made the same in the imaging elements.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
