<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for allowing a user to seize at a glance to which tray of a plurality of discharge trays a recorded paper sheet is discharged. <P>SOLUTION: When an operation instruction receiving part receives a recording execution instruction input by a user (YES in S1), a discharge destination detecting part analyzes the content of the received instruction and detects a discharge destination of the recorded paper sheet (S2). A discharge-or-not detecting part determines whether the recorded paper sheet can be discharged or not to the discharge destination instructed by the user in accordance with the content of the instruction analyzed in S2 and information obtained in S3 (S4).
