An image processing device and method, a recording medium, and a program. A simplified angle detection section (901) detects an angle of the steady state in the simple way by using correlation from the input image. A judgment section (902) connects a switch (903) to a terminal (903a) when the angle obtained in the simple way is near to the horizontal direction or the vertical direction and outputs the angle information detected in the simple way to a regression type angle detection section (904). The regression type angle detection section (904) detects and outputs the angle of the steady state in the regression way statistically. On the other hand, when the angle of the steady state obtained in the simple way is near 45 degrees, the judgment section (902) connects the switch (903) to a terminal (903b). Here, a slope type angle detection section (905) detects and outputs the direction of the steady state from the input image in the slope way. As a result, it is possible to detect the angle of the steady state more accurately. |
