PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding material by which reflection from outdoor daylight is suppressed, outgoing light from a PDP can efficiently be transmitted and a display characteristic of the PDP can be improved. SOLUTION: A laminated metal film pattern 18 constituted of a first metal film 12 and a second metal film 16 is formed on a transparent base material 10. The lower face of the first metal film 12 shows a photoreflective achromatic color and an upper face and both sides of the second metal film 16 are blackened.
