<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an object at high precision by more exactly tracking a vehicle in a photographed moving image. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle detection part 130 detects an area in which the vehicle exists by pattern recognition from each frame image to be inputted from an image input part 110. A template setting part 140 sets a template by averaging positions of vehicle areas in a plurality of frames and in that case, sets it while projecting the vehicle areas of other frame images on a reference frame image by performing DP matching. In addition, a vehicle tracking part 150 tracks the vehicle areas in each frame image by template matching using the set template, a ground position detection part 160 corrects deviation between the tracked vehicle areas and the template by performing the DP matching and thus, detects a position of a specific part of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
