PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality as much as possible while suppressing lowering in processing performance. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with an image forming head forming an image to an image forming position in a carrying path of a sheet-shaped image forming target member IM; carrying rollers 41, 42 disposed on a carrying direction upstream side and a downstream side of the image forming position, and driving to carry the image forming target member during image forming operation; and a carrying rotation driving means rotation driving the carrying rollers. Of the carrying rollers 41, 42, the downstream side carrying roller 42 positioned on the carrying direction downstream side of the image forming position is composed of a driving roller 42a rotation driven by the carrying rotation driving means, and an idling type pressing roller 42b pressed on the driving roller. A moving track of a rotation shaft core of the pressing roller 42b is structured to press the pressing roller 42b to the driving roller 42a while having moving direction components of the image forming target member IM.
