PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a textured yarn for a mask strap, hardly imparting strong tightening feeling when wearing a mask, preventing skin disorder and red mark caused by the tightening, and suitable for the mask having excellent attachability and detachability of the mask. SOLUTION: The textured yarn (c) for the mask strap is obtained by covering a core yarn (a) having the first twist with a sheath yarn (b). The core yarn comprises a polyester-based conjugate fiber obtained by conjugating a layer consisting essentially of a polyethylene terephthalate with a layer consisting essentially of a polytrimethylene terephthalate so as to form a side-by-side shape or an eccentric sheath/core shape. The twist direction of the covering by the sheath yarn is the reverse direction of the first twist of the core yarn, and the twist count (A T/m) of the first twist of the core yarn, and the twist count (B T/m) of the covering by the sheath yarn simultaneously satisfy the following formulas: 50≤A≤1,600; and 0.60≤B/A≤0.94.
