PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a function of a signal line in accordance with wiring in an information apparatus. SOLUTION: A CPU 12 executes various kinds of processing executable in an information apparatus 100. A communication module 16 executes communication processing compliant to an EV-DO system or a cdma 2000-1x system. A connection terminal 10 is a coupling connector for asynchronous serial communication signal lines and subscriber information is written therein. A switching section 14 and an intra-module switching section 60 switches the CPU 12 and the communication module 16, or the connection terminal 10 and the communication nodule 16. A switch 18 includes a function to be operated by a user for switching a connection target of the switching section 14 and the intra-module switching section 60. A display section 22 mainly displays a result of processing by the CPU 12. A notification section 26 is an LED or the like that is controlled by the communication module 16.
