<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a biocompatible titanium material composed of titanium improved in mechanical properties, fatigue strength, fracture toughness, corrosion resistance, etc., or a titanium alloy not containing vanadium without changing their composition, and the titanium produced by the method, the titanium alloy not containing the vanadium and an implant using these. <P>SOLUTION: The biocompatible titanium material composed of the titanium or the titanium alloy not containing the vanadium is subjected to intensive working ≥4 times under temperature conditions from 300 to 700°C at a working speed from 0.01 to 30 mm/s by a rotary ECAP apparatus, by which the metallic structure of the titanium or the titanium alloy not containing the vanadium is micronized to ≤10 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
