PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection apparatus which can more efficiently remove stain adhered to a nozzle formation face of a liquid injection head by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A wiper blade 35 is manufactured by an elastic material and forms a cleaning liquid holding hollow part 40 for holding a cleaning liquid inside. A discharge opening 41 which communicates with the cleaning liquid holding hollow part 40 is opened at a leading end of a face which comes in contact with the nozzle formation face 3' of a recording head 3 at the time of wiping. At the time of wiping, the wiper blade 35 is pressed by the recording head 3 and thereby deformed, whereby the volume of the hollow part 40 is reduced. The cleaning liquid in the hollow part 40 is discharged from the discharge opening 41 and adhered to the nozzle formation face 3'. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
