FIELD: industry and agriculture. ^ SUBSTANCE: novelty in proposed invention is that in straight cross-flow fan which has housing with suction branch pipe and delivery branch pipe and bladed working wheel installed in housing, external wall of suction branch pipe conjugates with inlet edge of straight-line wall of delivery branch pipe along curve described, for instance, along logarithmic spiral and it has port in place of conjugation overlapped by throttle valve. Maximum opening of port from inlet edge of straight-line wall of delivery branch pipe corresponds to angular distance lambda equal to 0.8-1.1 of outer diameter D of working wheel. Fan is compact, metal usage is decreased, power for generating air flow is reduced and consumption of energy at regulation of operation is decreased while air head and efficiency are increased. ^ EFFECT: reduced power consumption, increased efficiency. ^ 1 dwg |
