PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting light spot enabling one to evaluate more accurately objective lenses having interchangeability for recording and reproducing information in a plurality of optical disks taking not only the spot center, but also blur light and side lobe as measuring objects. SOLUTION: The light spot inspection device 100 has a light source 1 casting a parallel light flux of a specific wavelength, an objective lens 4 arranged so that the front focal position coincides with the focus position of a lens L to be inspected which is in a state of being illuminated by the parallel light flux, a light flux branch means 5 for branching the light flux having transmitted the objective lens 4 into the first light flux and the second light flux, a first photographing means 10 for photographing the two kinds of light spot images with relatively different brightness with the first magnification, by using the first light flux and a second photographing means 20 for photographing light spot images with the second magnification higher than the first magnification by using the second light flux. This constitution is for measurement of the light spot of the lens L to be inspected is conducted, based on each image photographed with the first photographing means 10 and the second photographing means 20.
