The pallet (24) for the storing and transporting of goods has a bottom (28) with feet (26) installed under it, a box (22) fitted on the bottom, stacking pillars, and a profiled frame (30) encompassing the bottom and which at least in sections has a U or V profile pointing towards the pallet outer side. At least parts of the encompassing profiled frame are formed from closed and profiled steel tube sections. The steel tube sections are formed from rolled hollow profiles manufactured from welded tubes or seamlessly drawn tubes.
