<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat fixing device that detects disconnection of each of heaters and allows use of an image forming apparatus without downtime if conditions meet. <P>SOLUTION: The heat fixing device is constituted so that disconnection of each heater can be detected and even in the event of disconnection of one of the heaters, continuous copying is allowed in any size of paper without halting a copying operation, thereby reducing downtime of a copying machine or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
