MAINTENANCE SAFETY DEVICE OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easily realizable maintenance safety device of an elevator capable of setting to a predetermined operation mode when a person in charge of maintenance rides on an elevator car. SOLUTION: An elevator system is provided with a load weight detection part 12 detecting load weight of the elevator car 30 and a car door passing detection part 14 detecting passing of an inlet of an opened car door 38. An elevator controller 10 has a mode setting part 16 setting operation mode of the elevator based on detection signals of the load weight detection part 12 and the car door passing detection part 14. When the load weight detection part 12 detects increase of load weight and the car door passing detection part 14 does not detect its passing, the mode setting part 16 sets ordinary operation inhibit mode for inhibiting ordinary operation of the elevator.
