摘要 PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a fabricating method thereof are provided to offer more high image quality after the rubbing process of an alignment film and efficiently remove a foreign particle from a rubbing textile. CONSTITUTION: A pair of dummy alignment film patterns(23) are formed on an alignment film(22) used for aligning LC(Liquid Crystal) molecules in an LCD. For the rubbing process of the alignment film, a rubbing textile(11) is cleaned by one of the dummy alignment film patterns before rubbing the alignment film. The rubbing textile is cleaned by the other of the dummy alignment film patterns after rubbing the alignment film. The dummy alignment patterns have a thickness which is thicker than the thickness of the alignment film.
