<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and simply inspect a defect existing inside a seal welding section performed to a thick, large-diameter pipe. <P>SOLUTION: In vapor piping 11 that is thick and has a large diameter, an internal inspection hole 11a is formed. In the internal inspection hole 11a, a seal plug 12 is inserted and the vapor piping 11 is seal-welded to the seal plug 12 by a seal welding section W11. In the seal plug 12, a hole 12a for inspection is formed. Therefore, ultrasonic sensors 21, 22 are arranged in the hole 12a for inspection, thus ultrasonically inspecting the defect D occurring at the seal welding section W11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
