PURPOSE: An ecological block is provided to prevent the breaking or loss caused by rapid streams or overflow, to slow down the speed of a rapid stream and to improve the water quality by supplying oxygen. CONSTITUTION: In the ecological block(10) composed of cement concrete, a groove(11) having the appointed diameter and depth is formed on the upper part of the ecological bock(10) and provided with many tunnel-shaped passages(12) which are communicated with all sides except the base. The ecological block(10) is manufactured by mixing 10-30 weight percent cement, 30-65 weight percent admixture which is formed by mixing one or two of sand, gravel and waste concrete, 24-50 weight percent water, and 1-3 weight percent waste fiber.
