<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-type surface light emitting unit which is easily constructed, capable of sufficiently directing fantasy of light or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light emitting unit 1 is equipped with a plate-formed transparent glass plate 6 capable of transmitting light, a light guide plate 8 arranged and installed below it, a light emitting means 12 which is arranged and installed to the side face of the light guide plate 8 having a plurality of light emitting diodes 11 of mutually different colors, a light diffusing and reflecting member 9 arranged under the light guide plate 8 and dispersing and reflecting the light transmitted through the light guide plate 8, a color selecting means selecting the light emitting diode 11 to be lighted or flashed out of the light emitting means 12, a nearly cube-shaped casing 4 housing the guiding light plate 8, the light emitting means 12, and the light diffusion reflecting member 9, installed at a mounting face such as a floor face or a wall face of a building, and a coupling part capable of coupling with the adjacently installed other surface light emitting units. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
