PURPOSE: A method and a device for controlling conversion of an electronic program guide mode are provided to sequentially convert a plurality of EPG modes by single key input, thereby reducing the number of operation keys, and easily converting the EPG modes. CONSTITUTION: A control unit judges whether a guide key for entering an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) mode from a key input unit(301). If so, EPG information is read from an EPG storage unit to be edited, and the edited EPG information is output in a specific EPG mode(302). It is judged whether a mode conversion key is inputted(303). If so, the current EPG mode is converted into the next EPG mode(304).
