<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a countermeasure against the characteristic deterioration of a battery in a low temperature environment by using a semiconductor heat exchanging element. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature detection signal t is compared with a reference value by a temperature control circuit 50, and if the temperature detection signal t is higher than the reference value (namely, if the temperature of the battery 31 is lower than room temperature), a switch 41 is turned on, and heating electric power h is supplied to the semiconductor heat exchanging element 33. By heating the semiconductor heat exchanging element 33, the battery 31 is heated. If the temperature detection signal is the same or lower than the reference value (namely, if the temperature of the battery 31 is the same or more than the ordinary temperature), the switch 41 is turned off, and heating to the battery 31 is stopped. Accordingly, the temperature of the battery 31 is maintained at a predetermined value, and characteristics in low temperatures are improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
