PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rendering device capable of performing secure copy control and a high speed recording. SOLUTION: The control section 1 of a player determines whether or not the output of an analog signal is to be permitted or inhibited and determines whether or not remark is issued when the output of the analog signal is permitted on the basis of media identification information of object contents 20 and encryption status information of the object contents received from a read section 2, and copy control information of the object contents received from a detection section 4 and a predetermined operation table, and controls an output switch 8 and a remark switch 9 to realize determined operation contents. Thus, while avoiding illegal copy, the necessity of detection of a watermark CCI and remarking by a recorder can be omitted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
