PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that, in order to replace a damaged screw in a hole, an entire threaded component must be replaced, and it is costly. SOLUTION: An insert 22 used to replace a damaged screw 32 in a hole is provided. The insert has an inner surface having an internal thread corresponding to the damaged screw to be replaced and an outer surface having an external thread extending over the length in the axial direction exceeding the initial length in the axial direction of the damaged screw.
