PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve inconvenience in the auto-focus starting operation of a digital camera. SOLUTION: An optical sensor (photo diode) or a touch sensor is arranged in a shutter switch of the digital camera, whereby an auto-focusing function is started. If the finger of a user touches the shutter switch and interrupts light to the optical sensor or it touches the touch sensor, a microprocessor shines and detects the action of the sensor or the touch sensor, and immediately starts the auto-focusing function.
