PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product takeout detecting mechanism for die casting machines which shortens product detection waiting time, has a simplified structure and reduces the generation of trouble by detecting product takeout in the vicinity of a die. SOLUTION: A takeout detecting mechanism 10 for die casting machines detects that a product W is taken out from a die 21 which is provided on a die casting machine 20 which is configured so that the product W cast with the die 21 is taken out after passing through between a fixed platen 22 and a movable platen 23. A detecting switch 11 is fixed to either platen of the fixed platen 22 and the movable platen 23 so as not to interfere with the other platen. The product W which passes through between the fixed platen 22 and the movable platen 23 is detected with the detecting switch 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
