PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing air intake grill of air conditioner is provided to efficiently prevent foreign matters from introducing through the air intake grill. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a cut-off cover(40) installed on a front side of an air intake grill(12) to open or close the air intake grill; a main guide axis(30) formed on a rear surface of the cut-off cover to transmit power so that the cut-off cover is moved by a guide hole(14) of an air conditioner main body(10); a plurality of auxiliary guide axes(34) formed on the rear surface of the cut-off cover to support movement of the cut-off cover by the guide hole of the air conditioner main body; and a driving motor(20) generating power and having a driving gear(24) inserted to a rotary axis thereof and engaged with a driven gear(32) formed on one side of the main guide axis.
