PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a control value when phases of the respective signals of a pixel clock for forming an image are shifted on the basis of phase data at the timing of a clock signal from a high frequency clock generation means, and to correct the displacement of a main scan dot based on the control value. SOLUTION: The pixel clock generator circuit is provided with a high frequency clock generator circuit 1 and clock generation circuits 4, 7. The pixel clock generator circuit sets the control value with respect to the data to be subjected to a phase shift so that the displacement of the main scan dot due to a work error and an assembly error, etc., of an optical element constituting an optical scanner is corrected when the phases of the respective signals of the pixel clock for forming the image are shifted on the basis of the phase data at the timing of a high frequency clock signal VCLK, and outputs a pixel clock PCLK subjected to the phase shift by selecting either one of a clock 1 or a clock 2 on the basis of the control value, then the displacement of the main scan dot is corrected by the outputted pixel clock PCLK.
