PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which prevents dust from attaching to the photoelectric conversion surface of an image pickup device and removes dust attaching to the outer surface of a dustproof member for sealing or protecting the image pickup device. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with: an image pickup device 27 for receiving light and obtaining an image signal; an optical element 25 disposed at the photoelectric conversion surface side of the image pickup device; a dustproof member 21 composed of a member that is of a circular or polygonal plate shape and has a transparent part, wherein the transparent part is disposed opposite to the front side of the optical element with a prescribed interval; a vibration member 22 disposed at a circumferential edge part of the dustproof member and for giving a vibration to the dustproof member; a sealing structure part formed by sealing a space at the circumferential part of the optical element and the dustproof member to form an almost hermetically sealed space part 51 including a gap part 51a formed between the optical element and the dustproof member; and an image signal processing circuit for converting the image signal obtained by the image pickup device into a signal of a form suitable for recording.
