The sanitary unit has a grip which can be move by the user and a transfer element (3) which helps operate the grip by means of an intermediate element (2) with a valve for letting out of the waste water. The mounting of the grip on the transfer element can be interchanged and an adapter (7) is connected to the transfer element with supports (4) which have outer teeth (6) to connect to the adapter. A cover plate (1) is attached to the transfer element by a swivel disc.
