PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head in which a piezoelectric actuator 4 can be deformed depending on the applying voltage by preventing the deformation from being impeded or absorbed and ink drop ejection characteristics (ejection speed, ejection quantity) can be enhanced. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording head 20 formed by bonding the top surface of the barrier wall of a channel member 6 and the piezoelectric actuator 4 through an adhesive layer 7, a projecting part 7a of the adhesive layer 7 is formed at the corner part of the piezoelectric actuator 4 and each barrier wall 5 wherein the width V of the projecting part 7a is set between 0 and one third of the width W of a channel 10, and the Young's modulus of the adhesive layer 7 is set in the range of 0.1-5.0 GPa.
