PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage a data receiving situation at a receiver side while operating multi-cast communication based on the protocol of a reception side base.

SOLUTION: Responding to that the reception request of multi-cast data is transmitted from client devices 5 and 6, the authentication processing of a client is executed between routing devices 7 and 8, and an authenticating server device 9 by using the MAC address of the client device being the origin of reception request, the ID of the routing device which has received the reception request, the ID of a port where the reception request is accepted by the routing device, and a designated multi-cast address. Then, only when the authentication is successful, multi-cast data are transmitted from the routing devices 7 and 8 to the client devices 5 and 6.
