PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent careless external force from being applied to a push-type switch projectingly provided on the surface of a camera body. SOLUTION: A movable operation type mode switching knob 12 is provided in the vicinity of a push operation type cursor operating plate 15 provided projectingly on a rear face of the camera body 2. The projection quantity of the mode switching knob 12 to the rear face of the body 2 is made larger than that of the cursor operating plate 15. When the camera body 2 is mounted on a flat plane P with the rear face of the body 2 placed down, the mode switching knob 12 is allowed to abut on the flat plane P to prevent the cursor operating plate 15 from coming into contact with the flat plane P.
