PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical equipment having an inexpensive and compact finder capable of realizing fine adjustment of zooming and quick adjustment of the angle of visibility even at a pseudo focal distance. SOLUTION: The optical equipment has a photographic lens in which a plurality of lens groups are moved in an optical axis direction with respect to an imaging surface so as to adjust image magnification, a trimming information imparting means for imparting trimming magnification for the real focal distance of the photographic lens to an image recording medium at the time of photographing in order to designate a range to be printed on exposed film, a zoom operation means for designating the photographic lens to an optional focal distance, a lens driving means for driving the photographic lens, and a zoom operation time measuring means for measuring the time to operate the zoom operation means. When the measured time obtained by the zoom operation time measuring means is within specified time, photographing at the adjacent pseudo focal distance can be performed (S6), and when it is equal to or above the specified time, photographing only at the real focal distance can be performed (S8).
